RETURNS POLICY:
Our return policy is designed with both customer satisfaction and environmental responsibility in mind. We ask our customers to cover the costs of returns for non-faulty items to encourage mindful purchasing and reduce the environmental impact associated with frequent returns. High return rates contribute to increased carbon emissions from transportation and the unnecessary use of packaging materials. By implementing a charge on returns, we aim to minimize 'wardrobing'—the practice of purchasing items with the intent to return—and ensure that our customers carefully consider their choices, ultimately leading to more satisfaction and less waste. This policy also helps us maintain our commitment to sustainability and keeps our prices fair, allowing us to offer you high-quality products without passing on unnecessary costs.
RETURN FOR AN EXCHANGE POLICY:
We are happy to exchange an item / items should you need to size up or size down. Please note that we do strongly encourage all customers to check the size charts before making a purchase though - to make all our lives that little bit easier.
In order to exchange an item, please email us on storiesofthesands@gmail.com with the details on the item bought, the size and which size you need in exchange. We will then get back to you with the address for you to return the item to.
Any item for return MUST have the original tags intact and the item itself must be in a clean and unworn condition.
The customer is responsible for the return costs. Any / all items are returned to us at your own risk, so we highly recommend using a trusted courier service. Please make sure to keep a record of your tracking number when shipping the package and share it on the same email thread so we know when to expect it.
Once the item / items have been received and inspected by us, the new item will be sent to you. Since we are a small family run business, this process can take a few days so please do keep this in mind, we will do our best to be as fast as possible.
RETURN A FAULTY ITEM FOR A REFUND / EXCHANGE:
We accept returns of faulty / defective items within a 5 day period after purchase.
Any item for return MUST have the original tags intact and the item itself must be in a clean and unworn condition.
In order to return a faulty item, please email us on storiesofthesands@gmail.com with the reason for the return and a photo of the fault / defect, also let us know if you would like an exchange or a refund at this time We will then get back to you (if the reason is valid) with the address for you to return the item to.
Once the item / items have been received and inspected by us, the refund will be issued or the exchange item will be sent.
If you wish to get a refund, we will refund the amount you paid using your original mode of payment. Please allow up to 14 working days for the process of refund.
